You've probably been told you should try therapy. Maybe more than once.
Straightforward psychotherapy for skeptics, overthinkers, and people with better things to do. Polson, Montana and telehealth statewide.
Is this for you?
Life looks pretty good on paper. But, somehow it doesn't feel that way. Things keep coming up. Sometimes in your relationships, at work, in your own head. An argument you've had a dozen times. You've thought about it plenty. Maybe too much. And thinking hasn't fixed it.
Maybe someone close to you has suggested therapy. Maybe the idea has been in the back of your mind for a while. Either way, you're here, and that’s enough to start with.
What to Expect
The first session is a conversation. I want to know what brought you here, what you're hoping to get out of this, and what you've tried already.
You can ask me any questions you have. We figure out if it makes sense to work together. If it does, sessions stay conversational. You bring what's on your mind. We look at it together. What you do with that is up to you.
About Me
I'm Mike O'Rourke, a psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Candidate based in Polson, Montana.
Before this I spent years working for an international corporation in New York City, and before and after that, a lot of other things: higher education, the arts, hospitality, running a small business. I've lived in a lot of different worlds. I moved to Polson over ten years ago and stayed.
The people I work with come from all kinds of lives, and I've found that having lived in a few myself makes it easier to understand yours.
